Whoever thought Christmas was a time for giving was wrong. In my mind, it is most certainly about receiving! I love getting presents to unwrap on Christmas morning and in my mind, the more presents under the Christmas tree the merrier I am!

So, if you have been wondering what I want for Christmas, I've put together the 12 Mays (not days) of Christmas, as in - "may I please have this and may I please have that..."

1. Acne Flight Jacket

   This Swedish brand has a cachet of cool that is as close to crippling as I dare stretch. Acne's trademark is its take on the classic biker jacket. Top of my Christmas wish list, Mr Santa Claus, is this super-luxe black shearling version.

2. Lanvin x H&M Dress

   Swedish chain H&M's collaboration with French house Lanvin sold out in minutes. Sadly I wasn't quick enough to get my mitts on this dress. So I am hoping that Santa might be able to pull a Christmas miracle out of his sack.

3. The Stellar Mirror

   All I want is a man with a mirror, preferably this Stellar one. Although it won't assure me that I am the fairest in the land, it will look beautiful above the fireplace in my lounge.

4. The Wake-Up Light

   The mornings are the most trying time for me, I can't get up at the best of times and I want to kill the person who ever invented the alarm clock. Thank heavens for them then, that I have added the Phillips Wake-Up Light to my wish list. It gently wakes the body up by simulating the rising sun, it also means I don't have to murder anyone!

5. APC Fine Fabric Care

   According to men in white coats, it is pointless dousing yourself in perfume, as apparently your clothes emit scent more effectively than your skin. Which is why grooming range Aesop has collaborated with clothing brand APC to create a fabric wash for your delicates that smells of lemons and cedarwood. It's most certainly the chicest way to wash your knickers.

6. Amazon Kindle

   I would love to unwrap this portable e-book reader on Christmas morning. It's the ultimate hardback.

7. Personalised M&Ms

   Available in combinations of two colours (there are 12 super-unnatural tones from which to pick) and with room enough to fit two lines of eight characters per sweet, these are a great stocking filler. I just hope someone thinks I've been a good girl this year, as I can only imagine the offensive possibilities that could be written otherwise...

8. Whisk Hamper

   Whisk Hampers offer artisan food from a select range of suppliers - and the right drink to go with it. I love their trademark La Dolce Vita hamper, which contains a rich assortment of Italian white-truffle honey, chocolate cigars, biscuits and a fruity Montepulciano. 9. Mulberry Hayden Tote

   My wardrobe may not look like it could possibly hold another bag, but I'll almost certainly make room for Mulberry's luxurious leather effort. Take note boys - the tote bag, effectively an oversized handbag, is currently a fashion must-have.

10. Cartier Tank Francaise

    I'm not sure I know anyone who holds a strong aversion to luxurious world-reknowned French jewellery. It is almost impossible to go wrong with a timepiece from Cartier...

11. Limited Edition Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé 2010 Champagne

    Nothing says Happy Christmas like this Limited Edition Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé 2010 Champagne. Guaranteed to add sparkle to any party.

12. Manolo Blahnik for London Undercover Umbrella

    Never has an umbrella been such a covetable Christmas present. With Manolo Blahnik's elegant touch, the only other present I'll be wishing for is rain.
